Design Korea 2014

Design Korea is Korea’s top business convention that has been held annually since 2003.  It aims to introduce the latest design trends, provide a platform to establish and/or strengthen networks and expand one’s design business.  Design Korea consists of various exhibitions, business programs, workshops/conferences, etc.

 Design Korea 2014 : 6 – 10 November 2014

This year Design Korea shall be held in November at KINTEX, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, which is about 30 minutes away from central Seoul.

 Date : 6 (Thu) – 10 (Mon) November 2014

 Venue : KINTEX, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea (Exhibition Hall 1)

 Consisting the event will be :

 ㆍWorld Best Design Exhibition : Exhibition of good design award winning products from 6 countries

ㆍDesign Business Zone : Display of design works of design companies/agencies/studios and designers.  This zone will also be organized as a venue for design business programs.

ㆍDesign Promotion Zone : Exhibition of design concepts proved of their potential for commercialization.

ㆍDesign Experience Zone : Exhibition providing an opportunity for the audience to gain hands-on experience.

ㆍDesign Conference : Topic to be confirmed.

 Design Business Programs

For the past few years, Design Korea has focused its aim on contributing to expanding the businesses of design companies/agencies/studios and designers.  Hence, we have worked on organizing programs that would bring about new opportunities for participating companies and designers to meet with potential buyers, clients and networks.  For example, last year, we organized a matching program where participating companies and designers were matched with potential buyers and clients.  Another program that was organized is the Design Business Night where we provided a venue for participants and potential buyers/clients to mingle and network with each other.  

Similar programs as well as other programs that will contribute to boosting design business shall be organized this year as well.  Details shall be provided as they are confirmed.
