The design for these two scarves were inspired from items found in the Joseon Dynasty. One of the scarves was motivated by the classic hair pins called dduljam which was applied to the middle and both sides of the hair. The second scarf was inspired by the accessory called norigae, which would hang from the waist of the skirt or blouse of the classic Korean outfit, Hanbok. These square scarfs are made of silk and were inspired by dduljam and norigae which were accessories made by our ancestors that incorporated feminine beauty into the rear figure of a woman and skirts which helped accentuate detail and delicacy by utilizing elaborate accessories with traditional patterns.
