COMMON GROUND is the nation’s first and world’s largest shopping mall complex built with 200 shipping containers. It redefines the usual conventions of other retail platforms by reinterpreting the role of culture, and focusing on connecting people for the sake of creating meaningful value for all involved. Inspired by the market, the contact point of connection, the design separated Market Hall from Street Market with the design concept which put stress on the modularity, the architectural icon, of the container. Street Market (Industrial Nature Concept): It symbolised the market in an alley and kept the texture of the container as much as possible.
