Features

Ulsan Bridge runs across the harbor and is the 3rd longest span suspension bridge in the country. It is designed in the shape of a “U” to be a visual landmark of Ulsan. Soft lines were added to incorporate the bridge with its surroundings including, industrial sights, the ocean and nearby mountains. Blue colors were also added in place to maintain balance with nearby areas. The bridge features ultra high firm cable (1,960 MPa) to be effective and economical. Environmental impact was minimized through the construction of an anchorage type tunnel, the first of its kind in Korea.
