ESS is a home energy storage application that enables users to utilize eco-friendly energy collected on PV solar panels. Our goal was to satisfy both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the product in a market where color touch LCDs are still hard to come by so that installers and users can have a special experience. The installation setting menu is included in the main body so that the product can be installed easy and quick. Each case of flowing energy has been simplified on the LCD screen. Modules have been color-coded by status for easy recognition regardless of distance. The color red and LG’s round symbol have been used as motifs considering a market already saturated with a large number of manufacturers to emphasize brand identity.
