10월 9일 한글날을 기념하기 위해, 스타벅스에서는 한글을 모티브로 세련되고 현대적인 스타벅스 충전 카드를 디자인하였다. 한글은 국보 제70호이자 유네스코 세계기록 유산에 등록되어 있는 한국 최초의 문자이다. "ㄱ", "ㅅ", 그리고 "ㅇ"와 같은 한글 자음이 흑백의 다이아몬드 패턴 안에 인쇄되었으며, 형광 핑크 컬러가 엑센트로 더해져 더욱 현대적인 느낌을 살렸다. 카드의 스타일을 돋보이게 하기 위해 디자인된 카드 케이스는 한글의 뜻과 역사를 함께 설명하고 있어 한글을 널리 알리는데 기여하고 있다.

In commemoration of Hangul Day (October 9), Starbucks Korea has incorporated Hangul –which has been designated as National Treasure of Korea No. 70, and registered with the UNESCO Memory of the World, and native alphabet of the Korean language into a motif to create a refined, modern style for a rechargeable Starbucks Card. Hangul consonants, such as “ㄱ”, “ㅅ”, and “o”, are printed inside a grid of monochrome diamond patterns, accented by a neon pink color to add a contemporary mood. The card case is designed to enhance the style of this card, along with a brief explanation of the meaning and history of Hangul.
